பாபிலோன் ராஜா அக்கினியினால் சுட்டுப்போட்ட சிதேக்கியாவுக்கும் ஆகாபுக்கும் கர்த்தர் உன்னைச் சமானமாக்கக்கடவரென்று, அவர்களைக் குறித்து ஒரு சாபவார்த்தை பாபிலோனிலே சிறையிருக்கிற யூதா அனைவருக்குள்ளும் வழங்கும் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

அனைத்து யூதா கைதிகளிலும் மற்றவர்களுக்குத் தீயவை ஏற்படட்டும் என்று கேட்கும்போதெல்லாம் அம்மனிதர்களை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகளாக வைத்துக்கொள்வார்கள். அக்கைதிகள் சொல்லுவார்கள்: ‘சிதேக்கியா மற்றும் ஆகாப் போன்று கர்த்தர் உன்னை நடத்தட்டும். பாபிலோனின் அரசன் அவ்விருவரையும் நெருப்பில் எரித்தான்.’

அவர்களுக்கு நேர்ந்ததை முன்னிட்டு, பாபிலோனுக்கு யூதாவிலிருந்து நாடுகடத்தப்பட்டோர் அனைவரும் ‘பாபிலோனிய மன்னன் நெருப்பில் போட்டுச் சுட்டெரித்த செதேக்கியாவைப் போலவும் ஆகாபைப் போலவும் ஆண்டவர் உன்னை ஆக்குவாராக’ என்று சாபமிடுவர்.
