நீர் என்னைத் தண்டித்தீர், நான் பணியாத மாடுபோல் அடிக்கப்பட்டேன்; என்னைத் திருப்பும், அப்பொழுது திருப்பப்படுவேன்; நீரே என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

எப்பிராயீமின் அழுகையை நான் கேட்டிருக்கிறேன். எப்பிராயீம் இவற்றைச் சொல்கிறதை நான் கேட்டேன். ‘கர்த்தாவே! உண்மையில் நீர் என்னைத் தண்டித்துவிட்டீர். நான் எனது பாடத்தைக் கற்றுக்கொண்டேன். நான் என்றென்றும் பயிற்சி பெறாத கன்றுக்குட்டியைப் போன்று இருந்தேன். தயவுசெய்து என்னைத் தண்டிப்பதை நிறுத்தும். நான் திரும்ப உம்மிடம் வருவேன். நீர் உண்மையில் எனது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்தான்.
