சூரியனைப் பகல் வெளிச்சத்துக்காகவும் சந்திர நட்சத்திர நியமங்களை இராவெளிச்சத்துக்காகவும் கட்டளையிட்டவரும், அலைகள் கொந்தளிக்கத்தக்கதாகச் சமுத்திரத்தைக் குலுக்குகிறவரும், சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்னும் நாமமுள்ளவருமாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்:

கர்த்தர் பகலில் சூரியனைப் பிரகாசிக்கும்படிச் செய்தார். கர்த்தர் சந்திரன் மற்றும் நட்சத்திரங்களை இரவில் பிராகாசிக்கும்படிச் செய்தார். கர்த்தர் கடலை கலக்குகிறார். அதனால் அதன் அலைகள் கரையில் மோதுகின்றன. சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் என்பது அவரது நாமம்.
