அவர்களுக்கு நன்மைசெய்யும்படி, நான் அவர்களை விட்டுப் பின்வாங்குவதில்லையென்கிற நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையை அவர்களோடே பண்ணி, அவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டு அகன்றுபோகாதபடிக்கு, எனக்குப்பயப்படும் பயத்தை அவர்கள் இருதயத்திலே வைத்து,

“‘நான் இஸ்ரவேல் மற்றும் யூதாவின் ஜனங்களோடு ஒரு உடன்படிக்கைச் செய்வேன். இந்த உடன்படிக்கை என்றென்றும் இருக்கும். இந்த உடன்படிக்கையில் நான் அந்த ஜனங்களிடம் இருந்து என்றென்றும், திரும்பமாட்டேன். நான் எப்பொழுதும் அவர்களுக்கு நல்லவனாக இருப்பேன். அவர்கள் என்னை மதிக்க விரும்பும்படிச் செய்வேன். பிறகு அவர்கள் என்னிடமிருந்து விலகமாட்டார்கள்.

நான் அவர்களோடு என்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும் உடன்படிக்கை ஒன்றைச் செய்துகொள்வேன். எனவே அவர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்ய நான் தவறமாட்டேன். என்னைப் பற்றிய அச்சத்தை அவர்களது இதயத்தில் பதியவைப்பேன். இதனால் அவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டு விலகிச்செல்லமாட்டார்கள்.
