எரேமியா 33:12
மனுஷனும் மிருகமும் இல்லாமல் அவாந்தரவெளியாய்க் கிடக்கிற இவ்விடத்திலும், இதற்கடுத்த பட்டணங்களிலும், ஆட்டுமந்தையை மேய்த்து மடக்குகிற மேய்ப்பர்களின் தாபரங்கள் உண்டாயிருக்குமென்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

மனிதனும் மிருகமும் இல்லாமல் வெட்டவெளியாக கிடக்கிற இவ்விடத்திலும், இதை சுற்றியுள்ள பட்டணங்களிலும், ஆட்டுமந்தையை மேய்த்துத் திருப்புகிற இடங்கள் உண்டாயிருக்கும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர், “இந்த இடம் இப்போது காலியாக இருக்கிறது. அங்கே மனிதர்களோ மிருகங்களோ வாழவில்லை. ஆனால், யூதாவின் எல்லா நகரங்களிலும் ஜனங்கள் இருப்பார்கள். அங்கு மேய்ப்பர்கள் இருப்பார்கள். மந்தைகள் ஓய்வு கொள்கிற மேய்ச்சல் நிலங்கள் இருக்கும்.

திருவிவிலியம்
படைகளின் ஆண்டவர் இவ்வாறு கூறுகிறார்; மனிதனோ விலங்கோ இன்றிப் பாழடைந்து கிடக்கும் இவ்விடத்திலும், இதை அடுத்த எல்லா நகர்களிலும் இடையர் தம் மந்தைகளை இளைப்பாற்றும் குடியிருப்புகள் மீண்டும் தோன்றும்.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
