இந்த நகரத்தின் எல்லாப் பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தமும் நான் என் முகத்தை மறைத்தபடியினாலே என் கோபத்திலும் உக்கிரத்திலும் வெட்டுண்ட மனுஷப்பிரேதங்களினாலே அவைகளை நான் நிரப்பும்படியாகவே, அவர்கள் கல்தேயரோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணப்போகிறார்கள்.

இந்த நகரத்தின் எல்லாப் பொல்லாப்பின் காரணமாக நான் என் முகத்தை மறைத்ததினால் என் கோபத்திலும் கடுங்கோபத்திலும் வெட்டப்பட்ட மனிதச் சடலங்களினால் அவைகளை நான் நிறைப்பதற்காகவே, அவர்கள் கல்தேயருடன் போர் செய்யப்போகிறார்கள்.

“‘எருசலேமில் உள்ள ஜனங்கள் பல தீமைகளைச் செய்திருக்கின்றனர். நான் அந்த ஜனங்கள் மீது கோபமாக இருக்கிறேன். நான் அவர்களுக்கு எதிராகத் திரும்பியிருக்கிறேன். எனவே நான் அங்கே பலப்பல ஜனங்களைக் கொல்வேன். பாபிலோனிய படை எருசலேமிற்கு எதிராகப் போரிட வரும். எருசலேமின் வீடுகளில் பற்பல மரித்த உடல்கள் கிடக்கும்.

எதிர்த்துப் போரிடவும், சினம்கொண்டு, சீற்றமுற்று நான் வெட்டி வீழத்திய மனிதர்களின் பிணங்களால் வீடுகளை நிரப்பவும், இதோ கல்தேயர் வந்துகொண்டிருக்கின்றனர். ஏனெனில் இந்நகரின் தீச்செயல் அனைத்தையும் முன்னிட்டு அதனின்று நான் என் முகத்தைத் திருப்பிக்கொண்டேன்.
