நான் அவர்களுக்குச் செய்யும் நன்மையையெல்லாம் கேட்கப்போகிற பூமியின் எல்லா ஜாதிகளுக்கு முன்பாக அது எனக்கு மகிழ்ச்சியுள்ள கீர்த்தியாயும் புகழ்ச்சியாயும் மகிமையாயும் இருக்கும்; நான் அவர்களுக்கு அருளிச்செய்யும் எல்லா நன்மையினிமித்தமும், எல்லாச்சமாதானத்தினிமித்தமும் இவர்கள் பயந்து நடுங்குவார்கள் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

எருசலேம் ஒரு அற்புதமான இடமாகும். ஜனங்கள் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைவார்கள். மற்ற நாடுகளில் உள்ள ஜனங்களும் அதனைப் புகழுவார்கள். அந்த ஜனங்கள் அங்கே நல்லவை நடைபெறுவதைப் பற்றிக் கேள்விப்படும்போது இது நிகழும். எருசலேமிற்காக நான் செய்துக்கொண்டிருக்கும் நல்லவற்றைப்பற்றி அவர்கள் கேட்பார்கள்.’

அப்பொழுது நீ அதைக் கண்டு ஓடிவருவாய்; உன் இருதயம் அதிசயப்பட்டுப் பூரிக்கும்; கடற்கரையின் திரளான கூட்டம் உன் வசமாக திரும்பும், ஜாதிகளின் பலத்த சேனை உன்னிடத்துக்கு வரும்.

நெகேமியா 6:16

எங்கள் பகைஞர் எல்லாரும் அதைக் கேட்டபோதும், எங்கள் சுற்றுப்புறத்தாராகிய புறஜாதியான அனைவரும் கண்டபோதும், மிகவும் முனையற்றுப்போய், இந்தக் கிரியை எங்கள் தேவனால் கைகூடி வந்ததென்று அறிந்தார்கள்.

நமது தேவனைத் துதிக்கும் புதுப்பாட்டை அவர் என் வாயிலே கொடுத்தார்; அநேகர் அதைக் கண்டு, பயந்து, கர்த்தரை நம்புவார்கள்.

ராஜாவின் வார்த்தையும் அவனுடைய கட்டளையும் போய்ச்சேர்ந்த எல்லா நாடுகளிலும், எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களிலும், யூதருக்குள்ளே அது மகிழ்ச்சியும், களிப்பும், விருந்துண்டு கொண்டாடும் நல்ல நாளுமாயிருந்தது; யூதருக்குப் பயப்படுகிறபயம் தேசத்து ஜனங்களைப் பிடித்ததினால், அவர்களில் அநேகர் யூதமார்க்கத்தில் அமைந்தார்கள்.
