பின்னும் எரேமியா ரேகாபியருடைய குடும்பத்தாரை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் உங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய யோனதாபின் கட்டளைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, அவனுடைய கற்பனைகளையெல்லாம் கைக்கொண்டு, அவன் உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் செய்துவந்தீர்களென்று, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

பிறகு எரேமியா ரேகாபியருடைய வம்சத்து ஜனங்களிடம் கூறினான். “இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் கூறுகிறார், ‘நீங்கள் உங்களது முற்பிதா யோனதாபின் கட்டளைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்தீர்கள். யோனாதாபின் அனைத்து போதனைகளையும் பின்பற்றினீர்கள். அவன் கட்டளையிட்ட அனைத்தையும் செய்தீர்கள்.’

இரேக்காபின் வீட்டாரிடம் எரேமியா கூறியது: இஸ்ரயேலின் கடவுளாகிய படைகளின் ஆண்டவர் இவ்வாறு கூறுகிறார்; நீங்கள் உங்கள் மூதாதையாம் யோனதாபின் ஆணைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, அவருடைய கட்டளைகளை எல்லாம் நிறைவேற்றி, அவர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்திருந்த அறிவுரை அனைத்தையும் கடைப்பிடித்து வந்துள்ளீர்கள்.
