எரேமியா 38:7
அவர்கள் எரேமியாவைத் துரவிலே போட்டதை ராஜாவின் அரமனையில் இருந்த எத்தியோப்பியனாகிய எபேத்மெலேக் என்னும் ஒரு பிரதானி கேள்விப்பட்டான்; ராஜாவோ பென்யமீன் வாசலிலே உட்கார்ந்திருந்தான்.

அவர்கள் எரேமியாவை கிணற்றில் போட்டதை ராஜாவின் அரண்மனையில் இருந்த எத்தியோப்பியனாகிய எபெத்மெலேக் என்னும் ஒரு பிரதானி கேள்விப்பட்டான்; ராஜாவோ பென்யமீன் வாசலில் உட்கார்ந்திருந்தான்.

ஆனால், எபெத்மெலேக் என்ற பெயருடையவன் எரேமியாவை தண்ணீர்க்குழியில் அடைத்ததைப்பற்றி கேள்விப்பட்டான். எபெத்மெலேக் எத்தியோப்பியாவிலிருந்து வந்தவன். அவன் அரசனின் வீட்டில் பிரதானியாக இருந்தான். சிதேக்கியா அரசன் பென்யமீன் வாசலில் இருந்தான். எனவே எபெத்மெலேக் அரசனின் வீட்டை விட்டுப் போய் வாசலில் உள்ள அரசனிடம் பேசப் போனான்.

திருவிவிலியம்
அரண்மனையில் இருந்த அரசவையோருள் ஒருவரான எபேது மெலேக்கு என்ற எத்தியோப்பியர் எரேமியா பாழ்ங்கிணற்றில் தள்ளப்பட்டதை அறியவந்தார். அப்பொழுது அரசன் பென்யமின் வாயிலில் அமர்ந்திருந்தான்.
