இணை வசனம்

அந்நாட்களிலே, அந்த உபத்திரவத்திற்குப்பின்பு, சூரியன் அந்தகாரப்படும், சந்திரன் ஒளியைக்கொடாதிருக்கும்;

அந்நாட்களின் உபத்திரவம் முடிந்தவுடனே, சூரியன் அந்தகாரப்படும், சந்திரன் ஒளியைக்கொடாதிருக்கும், நட்சத்திரங்கள் வானத்திலிருந்து விழும், வானத்தின் சத்துவங்கள் அசைக்கப்படும்.

பூமியானது ஒழுங்கின்மையும் வெறுமையுமாய் இருந்தது; ஆழத்தின்மேல் இருள் இருந்தது; தேவ ஆவியானவர் ஜலத்தின்மேல் அசைவாடிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்.

சூரியனிலும் சந்திரனிலும் நட்சத்திரங்களிலும் அடையாளங்கள் தோன்றும்; பூமியின்மேலுள்ள ஜனங்களுக்குத் தத்தளிப்பும் இடுக்கணும் உண்டாகும்; சமுத்திரமும் அலைகளும் முழக்கமாயிருக்கும்.

அல்லாமலும் உயர வானத்திலே அற்புதங்களையும், தாழ பூமியிலே இரத்தம், அக்கினி, புகைக்காடாகிய அதிசயங்களையும் காட்டுவேன்.

அந்நாளில், சமுத்திரம் இரைவதுபோல் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் இரைவார்கள்; அப்பொழுது தேசத்தைப்பார்த்தால், இதோ, அந்தகாரமும் வியாகுலமும் உண்டு; அதின் மேகங்களினால் வெளிச்சம் இருண்டுபோம்.

சூரியனும் சந்திரனும் இருண்டுபோகும், நட்சத்திரங்கள் ஒளிமழுங்கும்.

வானத்திலும் பூமியிலும் இரத்தம் அக்கினி புகைஸ்தம்பங்களாகிய அதிசயங்களைக் காட்டுவேன்.

வானமும் பூமியும் ஒழிந்துபோம், என் வார்த்தைகளோ ஒழிந்துபோவதில்லை.

மலைகளுக்காக அழுது துக்கங்கொண்டாடுவேன்; வனாந்தரத் தாபரங்களுக்காகப் புலம்புவேன்; ஒருவனும் அவைகளைக் கடந்துபோகாதவண்ணமாக அவைகள் பாழாக்கப்பட்டுக் கிடக்கின்றன; ஆடுமாடுகளின் சத்தம் கேட்கப்படுகிறதுமில்லை; ஆகாசத்துப் பறவைகளும் மிருகஜீவன்களும் எல்லாம் ஓடிச் சிதறிப்போயின.

உன்னை நான் அணைத்துப்போடுகையில், வானத்தை மூடி, அதின் நட்சத்திரங்களை இருண்டுபோகப்பண்ணுவேன்; சூரியனை மேகத்தினால் மூடுவேன், சந்திரனும் தன் ஒளியைக்கொடாதிருக்கும்.

அவைகளுக்கு முன்பாகப் பூமி அதிரும்; வானங்கள் அசையும்; சூரியனும் சந்திரனும் இருண்டுபோகும்; நட்சத்திரங்கள் ஒளி மழுங்கும்.

அந்நாளிலே நான் மத்தியானத்திலே சூரியனை அஸ்தமிக்கப்பண்ணி பட்டப்பகலிலே தேசத்தை அந்தகாரப்படுத்தி,
