அப்பொழுது சாப்பானுடைய குமாரனாகிய அகிக்காமின் மகன் கெதலியா அவர்களையும் அவர்கள் மனுஷரையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் கல்தேயரைச் சேவிக்கப் பயப்படவேண்டாம், நீங்கள் தேசத்திலிருந்து பாபிலோன் ராஜாவைச் சேவியுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு நன்மையுண்டாகும்.

அப்பொழுது சாப்பானுடைய மகனாகிய அகீக்காமின் மகன் கெதலியா அவர்களையும் அவர்கள் மனிதரையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் கல்தேயரை பணிய பயப்படவேண்டாம், நீங்கள் தேசத்திலிருந்து பாபிலோன் ராஜாவை பணியுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு நன்மையுண்டாகும்.

சாப்பானின் மகனான அகிக்காமின் மகனான கெதலியா, வந்த வீரர்களும் அவர்களோடு வந்தவர்களும் பாதுகாப்பை உணருமாறு பிரமாணம் செய்தான். கெதலியா சொன்னது இதுதான்: “வீரர்களாகிய நீங்கள், பாபிலோனிய ஜனங்களுக்கு சேவை செய்ய பயப்படவேண்டாம். இந்நாட்டில் குடியிருந்து, பாபிலோனிய அரசனுக்கு சேவை செய்யுங்கள். நீங்கள் இதைச் செய்தால் எல்லாம் நல்லபடியாக இருக்கும்.

அவர்களிடமும் அவர்களுடைய ஆள்களிடமும் சாப்பானின் பேரனும் அகிக்காமின் மகனுமான கெதலியா ஆணையிட்டு, “கல்தேயருக்கு அடிபணிய நீங்கள் தயங்க வேண்டாம். இந்நாட்டில் தங்கி வாழுங்கள்; பாபிலோனிய மன்னனுக்குப் பணிந்திருங்கள்; அது உங்களுக்கு நலம் பயக்கும்.
