கல்தேயர் எங்களைக் கொன்றுபோடவும், எங்களை அவர்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்படி, நேரியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பாருக்குத்தானே உன்னை எங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக ஏவினான் என்றார்கள்.

கல்தேயர் எங்களைக் கொன்றுபோடவும், எங்களைப் பாபிலோனுக்கு கைதிகளாகக் கொண்டுபோகவும், எங்களை அவர்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்படி, நேரியாவின் மகனாகிய பாருக்குத்தானே உன்னை எங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக ஏவினான் என்றார்கள்.

எரேமியா, நேரியாவின் மகனான பாருக் எங்களுக்கு எதிராக உன்னை ஏவியிருக்கிறான் என்று நாங்கள் நினைக்கிறோம். எங்களை பாபிலோனிய ஜனங்களிடம் கொடுக்குமாறு அவன் விரும்புகிறான். நீ இதனைச் செய்யுமாறு அவன் விரும்புகிறான். அதனால் அவர்கள் எங்களைக் கொல்ல முடியும். அல்லது நீ இதனைச் செய்யுமாறு விரும்புகிறான். அதனால் அவர்கள் எங்களைக் கைதிகளாக்கி பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோகமுடியும்” என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

ஆனால் கல்தேயர் கையில் எங்களை ஒப்புவிக்கவும், எங்களைச் சாவுக்கு உள்ளாக்கவும், எங்களைப் பாபிலோனுக்கு நாடுகடத்தவுமே நேரியாவின் மகன் பாரூக்கு எங்களுக்கு எதிராக உன்னைத் தூண்டிவிட்டுள்ளான்” என்றனர்.
