அப்படியே யூதாவின் தேசத்திலே தரித்திருக்கவேண்டும் என்னும் கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்குக் கரேயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோகனானும், சகல இராணுவச் சேர்வைக்காரரும், சகல ஜனங்களும் செவிகொடாமற்போனார்கள்.

அப்படியே யூதாவின் தேசத்தில் தங்கியிருக்கவேண்டும் என்னும் கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்திற்குக் கரேயாவின் மகனாகிய யோகனானும், எல்லாப் போர்வீரர்களும், எல்லா மக்களும் கேட்காமற்போனார்கள்.

எனவே யோகனான், படை அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் அனைத்து ஜனங்களும் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளைக்கு அடிபணியவில்லை. கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்கு யூதாவில் தங்கும்படி கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தார்.

எனவே காரயாகின் மகன் யோகனானும், எல்லாப் படைத்தலைவர்களும், மக்கள் அனைவரும் ஆண்டவரின் குரலுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கவில்லை; அதாவது யூதாவிலேயே தங்கவில்லை.
