இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நான் எருசலேமின்மேலும், யூதாவின் சகல பட்டணங்களின் மேலும், வரப்பண்ணின தீங்கையெல்லாம் நீங்கள் கண்டீர்கள்.

“இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சர்வ வல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தர் கூறுவதாவது, ‘ஜனங்களாகிய நீங்கள் யூதாவின் நகரங்களிலும் எருசலேமிலும் நான் ஏற்படுத்திய பயங்கரமானவற்றைப் பார்த்தீர்கள். அந்த நகரங்கள் எல்லாம் இன்று காலியான கற்தூண்களாக உள்ளன.
