ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் அந்நிய தேவர்களுக்கு தூபங்காட்டாதபடிக்கு, என் சொல்லைக் கேளாமலும், பொல்லாப்பை விட்டுத் திரும்புவதற்குச் செவியைச் சாய்க்காமலும் போனார்கள்.

ஆனால் அந்த ஜனங்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் சொன்னதைக் கேட்கவில்லை. அவர்கள் அத்தீர்க்கதரிசிகளிடம் தம் கவனத்தைச் செலுத்தவில்லை. அந்த ஜனங்கள் கெட்டவற்றைச் செய்வதை நிறுத்தவில்லை. அவர்கள் அந்நிய தெய்வங்களுக்கு பலிகள் கொடுப்பதை நிறுத்தவில்லை.
