ஆகையால், என் உக்கிரமும் என் கோபமும் மூண்டு, யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலும் எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும் பற்றியெரிந்தது; அவைகள் இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி வனாந்தரமும் பாழுமாய்ப் போயிற்று.

ஆகையால், என் கடுங்கோபமும் என் கோபமும் மூண்டு, யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலும் எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும் பற்றியெரிந்தது; அவைகள் இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி வனாந்திரமும் பாழுமாய்ப்போனது.

எனவே நான் அந்த ஜனங்களுக்கு எதிராக என் கோபத்தைக் காட்டினேன். நான் யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களையும் எருசலேமின் தெருக்களையும் தண்டித்தேன். எனது கோபம், எருசலேமையும் யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களையும் இன்றைக்குள்ள வெறுமையான கற்குவியல்களாக்கிவிட்டது.’”

எனவே என் சீற்றமும் சினமும் யூதாவின் நகர்கள்மேலும் எருசலேமின் தெருக்கள்மேலும் மூண்டெழுந்து அவற்றைத் தீக்கிரையாக்கின. இன்று காண்பதுபோல், அவை பாழடைந்து, ஆளரவமற்றுப் போயின.
