திகிலுக்கு விலக ஓடுகிறவன் படு குழியிலே விழுவான்; படுகுழியிலிருந்து ஏறுகிறவனோ கண்ணியிலே பிடிபடுவான்; அவர்கள் விசாரிக்கப்படும் வருஷத்தை அதின்மேல், அதாவது, மோவாபின்மேல் வரப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

ஜனங்கள் பயந்து வெளியே ஓடுவார்கள். அவர்கள் ஆழமான குழிகளில் விழுவார்கள். எவராவது ஆழமான குழிகளில் இருந்து வெளியே ஏறி வந்தால் அவன் கண்ணிகளில் சிக்குவான். நான் மோவாபிற்குத் தண்டனை ஆண்டைக் கொண்டு வருவேன்” என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
