இணை வசனம்

கீலேயாத்தின் குடிகளிலே திஸ்பியனாகிய எலியா ஆகாபை நோக்கி: என் வாக்கின்படியே அன்றி இந்த வருஷங்களிலே பனியும் மழையும் பெய்யாதிருக்கும் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கிற நான் அவருடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றான்.

அப்பொழுது தேவன் நோவாவை நோக்கி: மாம்சமான யாவரின் முடிவும் எனக்கு முன்பாக வந்தது; அவர்களாலே பூமி கொடுமையினால் நிறைந்தது; நான் அவர்களைப் பூமியோடுங்கூட அழித்துப் போடுவேன்.

வானத்தின் கீழே ஜீவசுவாசமுள்ள சகல மாம்ச ஜந்துக்களையும் அழிக்க நான் பூமியின்மேல் ஜலப்பிரளயத்தை வரப்பண்ணுவேன்; பூமியிலுள்ள யாவும் மாண்டுபோம்.

நோவாவுக்கு அறுநூறாம் வயதாகும் வருஷம் இரண்டாம் மாதம் பதினேழாம் தேதியாகிய அந்நாளிலே, மகா ஆழத்தின் ஊற்றுக்கண்களெல்லாம் பிளந்தன; வானத்தின் மதகுகளும் திறவுண்டன.

இல்லாவிடில் கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் உங்கள்மேல் மூண்டு, மழை பெய்யாமற்போகவும், தேசம் தன் பலனைக் கொடாமலிருக்கவும் வானத்தை அடைத்துப்போடுவார்; கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த நல்ல தேசத்திலிருந்து நீங்கள் சீக்கிரத்தில் அழிந்துபோவீர்கள்.

அவர்கள் உமக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்ததினால் வானம் அடைபட்டு மழைபெய்யாதிருக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் இந்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கு நேராக விண்ணப்பஞ்செய்து, உம்முடைய நாமத்தை அறிக்கைபண்ணி, தங்களை தேவரீர் கிலேசப்படுத்துகையில் தங்கள் பாவங்களை விட்டுத் திரும்பினால்,

சகல பிராணிகளின் ஜீவனும், மாம்சமான சகல மனுஷரின் ஆவியும் அவர் கையிலிருக்கிறது.

அவைகள் உமது கண்டிதத்தால் விலகியோடி, உமது குமுறலின் சத்தத்தால் விரைந்துபோயிற்று.

புறஜாதிகளுடைய வீணான தேவர்களுக்குள் மழை வருஷிக்கப்பண்ணத்தக்கவர்கள் உண்டோ? அல்லது, வானங்கள் தானாய் மழைகளைக் கொடுக்குமோ? எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தராயிருக்கிற நீரல்லவோ அதைச் செய்கிறவர்; ஆகையால் உமக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறோம்; தேவரீர் இவைகளையெல்லாம் உண்டுபண்ணினீர்.

அவர் அறுமீனையும் மிருகசீரிஷத்தையும் உண்டாக்கினவர்; அவர் மரண இருளை விடியற்காலமாக மாற்றி பகலை இராத்திரியாக அந்தகாரப்படுத்துகிறார்; அவர் சமுத்திரத்தின் தண்ணீர்களை வரவழைத்து, அவைகளைப் பூமியின் விசாலத்தின்மேல் ஏற்றுகிறவர்; கர்த்தர் என்பது அவருடைய நாமம்.

அவர் சமுத்திரத்தை அதட்டி, அதை வற்றிப்போகப்பண்ணி, சகல ஆறுகளையும் வறட்சியாக்குகிறார். பாசனும் கர்மேலும் சோர்ந்து, லீபனோனின் செழிப்பு வாடிப்போகும்.

அன்றியும் எலியாவின் நாட்களிலே மூன்று வருஷமும் ஆறுமாதமும் வானம் அடைபட்டு, தேசமெங்கும் மிகுந்த பஞ்சம் உண்டாயிருந்தபோது, இஸ்ரவேலுக்குள் அநேகம் விதைவைகள் இருந்தார்கள்.

எலியா என்பவன் நம்மைப்போலப்பாடுள்ள மனுஷனாயிருந்தும், மழைபெய்யாதபடிக்குக் கருத்தாய் ஜெபம்பண்ணினான், அப்பொழுது மூன்றுவருஷமும் ஆறுமாதமும் பூமியின்மேல் மழை பெய்யவில்லை.

அவர்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ் சொல்லிவருகிற நாட்களிலே மழைபெய்யாதபடிக்கு வானத்தை அடைக்க அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரமுண்டு; அவர்கள் தண்ணீர்களை இரத்தமாக மாற்றவும், தங்களுக்கு வேண்டும்போதெல்லாம் பூமியைச்சகலவித வாதைகளாலும் வாதிக்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரமுண்டு.
