இணை வசனம்

உன் தேவனாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தர் நானே; அலைகள் கொந்தளிக்கத்தக்கதாய் சமுத்திரத்தைக் குலுக்குகிற சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்கிற நாமமுள்ளவர்.

சூரியனைப் பகல் வெளிச்சத்துக்காகவும் சந்திர நட்சத்திர நியமங்களை இராவெளிச்சத்துக்காகவும் கட்டளையிட்டவரும், அலைகள் கொந்தளிக்கத்தக்கதாகச் சமுத்திரத்தைக் குலுக்குகிறவரும், சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்னும் நாமமுள்ளவருமாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்:

தேவன் தம்முடைய கோபத்தைத் திருப்பமாட்டார்; ஒருவருக்கொருவர் துணை நிற்கிற அகங்காரிகள் அவருக்கு அடங்கவேண்டும்.

தேவரீர், சமுத்திரத்தின் பெருமையை ஆளுகிறவர்; அதின் அலைகள் எழும்பும்போது அவைகளை அடங்கப்பண்ணுகிறீர்.

எழும்பு, எழும்பு, பெலன்கொள்; கர்த்தரின் புயமே முந்தின நாட்களிலும் பூர்வ தலைமுறைகளிலும் எழும்பினபடி எழும்பு; இராகாபைத் துண்டித்ததும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தை வதைத்ததும் நீதானல்லவோ?

மோசே தன் கையைச் சமுத்திரத்தின்மேல் நீட்டினான்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் இராமுழுதும் பலத்த கீழ்காற்றினால் சமுத்திரம் ஒதுங்கும்படி செய்து, அதை வறண்டுபோகப் பண்ணினார்; ஜலம் பிளந்து பிரிந்துபோயிற்று.

அவரிடத்தில் ஞானமும் வல்லமையும் எத்தனை அதிகமாய் இருக்கும்? அவருக்குத்தான் ஆலோசனையும் புத்தியும் உண்டு.

நீ உன் கோபத்தின் உக்கிரத்தை வீசி, அகந்தையுள்ளவனையெல்லாம் தேடிப்பார்த்துத் தாழ்த்திவிட்டு,

கர்த்தர் ஜலப்பிரவாகத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறார்; கர்த்தர் என்றென்றைக்கும் ராஜாவாக வீற்றிருக்கிறார்.

தேவரீர் உமது வல்லமையினால், சமுத்திரத்தை இரண்டாகப் பிளந்து, ஜலத்திலுள்ள வலுசர்ப்பங்களின் தலைகளை உடைத்தீர்.

கர்த்தாவே, நதிகள் எழும்பின; நதிகள் இரைச்சலிட்டு எழும்பின; நதிகள் அலைதிரண்டு எழும்பின.

யூதா அவருக்குப் பரிசுத்தஸ்தானமும், இஸ்ரவேல் அவருக்கு ராஜ்யமுமாயிற்று.

எல்லாம் தாழ்த்தப்படும்பொருட்டுச் சேனைகளுடைய கர்த்தரின் நாளானது பெருமையும் மேட்டிமையுமானவை எல்லாவற்றின்மேலும், உயர்ந்தவை எல்லாவற்றின்மேலும்,

ஆகையால் நேபுகாத்நேச்சாராகிய நான் பரலோகத்தின் ராஜாவைப் புகழ்ந்து, உயர்த்தி மகிமைப்படுத்துகிறேன்; அவருடைய கிரியைகளெல்லாம் சத்தியமும், அவருடைய வழிகள் நியாயமுமானவைகள் அகந்தையாய் நடக்கிறவர்களைத் தாழ்த்த அவராலே ஆகும் என்று எழுதினான்.

அவர் அதிகமான கிருபையை அளிக்கிறாரே. ஆதலால் தேவன் பெருமையுள்ளவர்களுக்கு எதிர்த்து நிற்கிறார், தாழ்மையுள்ளவர்களுக்கோ கிருபை அளிக்கிறாரென்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறது.
