நீ குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெறுவாய், ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் உன்னோடேகூட இரார்கள்; அவர்கள் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள்.

அவன் பிள்ளைகள் எளிமையானவர்களின் சகாயத்தைத் தேடுவார்கள்; அவன் பறித்ததை அவன் கைகள் திரும்பக் கொடுக்கவேண்டியதாகும்.

இதோ மலடிகள் பாக்கியவதிகளென்றும், பிள்ளைபெறாத கர்ப்பங்களும் பால்கொடாத முலைகளும் பாக்கியமுள்ளவைகளென்றும் சொல்லப்படும் நாட்கள்வரும்.

உன் குமாரரும் உன் குமாரத்திகளும் அந்நிய ஜனங்களுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்; அவர்களைக் காண உன் கண்கள் நாடோறும் பார்த்துப்பார்த்துப் பூத்துப்போம்; உன் கையில் பெலனில்லாதிருக்கும்.

திருப்தியாயிருந்தவர்கள் அப்பத்துக்காக கூலிவேலை செய்கிறார்கள்; பசியாயிருந்தவர்களோ இனிப் பசியாயிரார்கள்; மலடியாயிருந்தவள் ஏழு பெற்றாள்; அநேகம் பிள்ளைகளைப் பெற்றவளோ பலட்சயப்பட்டாள்.

நான் என் ஊழியக்காரராகிய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் இரத்தப்பழியையும், கர்த்தருடைய சகல ஊழியக்காரரின் இரத்தப் பழியையும், யேசபேலின் கையிலே வாங்கும்படிக்கு நீ உன் ஆண்டவனாகிய ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்தை அழித்துவிடக்கடவாய்.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: அவர்களுக்கு இரண்டாம் நிருபத்தை எழுதினான்; அதில்: நீங்கள் என் பட்சத்தில் சேர்ந்து என் சொல்லைக் கேட்பீர்களானால், உங்கள் ஆண்டவனுடைய குமாரனின் தலைகளை வாங்கி, நாளை இந்நேரத்தில் யெஸ்ரயேலுக்கு என்னிடத்தில் வாருங்கள் என்று எழுதியிருந்தது. ராஜாவின் குமாரராகிய எழுபதுபேரும் தங்களை வளர்க்கிற பட்டணத்தின் பெரிய மனுஷரோடு இருந்தார்கள்.

தன் ஐசுவரியத்தின் மகிமையையும், தன் பிள்ளைகளின் திரட்சியையும், ராஜா தன்னைப் பெரியவனாக்கி, தன்னைப் பிரபுக்கள்மேலும் ராஜாவின் ஊழியக்காரர்மேலும் உயர்த்தின எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆமான் அவர்களுக்கு விவரித்துச்சொன்னான்.

அப்படியே யூதர் தங்கள் சத்துருக்களையெல்லாம் பட்டயத்தால் வெட்டிக்கொன்று நிர்மூலமாக்கி, தங்கள் இஷ்டப்படி தங்கள் பகைஞருக்குச் செய்தார்கள்.

இருளிலிருந்து திரும்பிவர அவனுக்கு நம்பிக்கையில்லாமல், பதிவிருக்கிறவர்களின் பட்டயத்துக்கு அவன் பயப்படுகிறான்.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் குழந்தைகளை ஒரு மந்தையைப்போல வெளியேபோகவிடுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகள் குதித்து விளையாடுகிறார்கள்.
