இவ்விதமாய்க் கர்த்தர் அந்நாளிலே இஸ்ரவேலரை எகிப்தியரின் கைக்குத் தப்புவித்து ரட்சித்தார்; கடற்கரையிலே எகிப்தியர் செத்துக்கிடக்கிறதை இஸ்ரவேலர் கண்டார்கள்.

அவனைக் கொலைசெய்துபோடவேண்டும்; அவனைக் கொலைசெய்வதற்கு, முதல் உன் கையும் பின்பு சகல ஜனத்தின் கையும் அவன்மேல் இருக்கக்கடவது.

அப்பொழுது அவன் சாகும்படி அந்தப் பட்டணத்து மனிதரெல்லாம் அவன்மேல் கல்லெறியக்கடவர்கள்; இப்படியே தீமையை உன் நடுவிலிருந்து விலக்கிப்போடவேண்டும்; இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாரும் அதைக் கேட்டுப் பயப்படுவார்கள்.

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், இதோ, நான் உன் வீட்டிலே பொல்லாப்பை உன்மேல் எழும்பப்பண்ணி உன் கண்கள் பார்க்க, உன் ஸ்திரீகளை எடுத்து, உனக்கு அடுத்தவனுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன்; அவன் இந்தச் சூரியனுடைய வெளிச்சத்திலே உன் ஸ்திரீகளோடே சயனிப்பான்.

பழிவாங்குதலை நீதிமான் காணும்போது மகிழுவான்; அவன் தன் பாதங்களைத் துன்மார்க்கனுடைய இரத்தத்திலே கழுவுவான்.

அவர்கள் வெளியே போய் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாதகஞ்செய்த மனுஷருடைய பிரேதங்களைப் பார்ப்பார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய பூச்சி சாகாமலும், அவர்களுடைய அக்கினி அவியாமலும் இருக்கும்; அவர்கள் மாம்சமான யாவருக்கும் அரோசிகமாயிருப்பார்கள்.

மற்றவர்களுக்குப் பயமுண்டாகும்படி, பாவஞ்செய்தவர்களை எல்லாருக்கும் முன்பாகக் கடிந்துகொள்.

சிலருடைய பாவங்கள் வெளியரங்கமாயிருந்து, நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்கு முந்திக்கொள்ளும்; சிலருடைய பாவங்கள் அவர்களைப் பின்தொடரும்.

அவளுடனே வேசித்தனஞ்செய்து செல்வச்செருக்காய் வாழ்ந்த பூமியின் ராஜாக்களும் அவள் வேகிறதினால் உண்டான புகையைக் காணும்போது அவளுக்காக அழுது புலம்பி,

பரலோகமே! பரிசுத்தவான்களாகிய அப்போஸ்தலர்களே! தீர்க்கதரிசிகளே! அவளைக்குறித்துக் களிகூருங்கள். உங்கள் நிமித்தம் தேவன் அவளை நியாயந்தீர்த்தாரே! என்று தூதன் சொன்னான்.
