நீங்கள் உங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களையல்ல, உங்கள் இருதயங்களைக் கிழித்து, உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் இடத்தில் திரும்புங்கள்; அவர் இரக்கமும், மனஉருக்கமும், நீடிய சாந்தமும், மிகுந்த கிருபையுமுள்ளவர்; அவர் தீங்குக்கு மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார்.

உங்கள் ஆடைகளையல்ல, இதயத்தைக் கிழியுங்கள்.” உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடம் திரும்பி வாருங்கள். அவர் இரக்கமும் கருணையும் உள்ளவர். அவர் விரைவாகக் கோபப்படமாட்டார். அவரிடம் மிகுந்த அன்பு உண்டு. ஒருவேளை அவர் தனது மனதை, திட்டமிட்டிருந்த பயங்கரமான தண்டனையிலிருந்து மாற்றிக்கொள்ளலாம்.
