இணை வசனம்

பல இடங்களில் மகா பூமியதிர்ச்சிகளும், பஞ்சங்களும், கொள்ளை நோய்களும் உண்டாகும்; வானத்திலிருந்து பயங்கரமான தோற்றங்களும் பெரிய அடையாளங்களும் உண்டாகும்.

அந்நாட்களின் உபத்திரவம் முடிந்தவுடனே, சூரியன் அந்தகாரப்படும், சந்திரன் ஒளியைக்கொடாதிருக்கும், நட்சத்திரங்கள் வானத்திலிருந்து விழும், வானத்தின் சத்துவங்கள் அசைக்கப்படும்.

சூரியனிலும் சந்திரனிலும் நட்சத்திரங்களிலும் அடையாளங்கள் தோன்றும்; பூமியின்மேலுள்ள ஜனங்களுக்குத் தத்தளிப்பும் இடுக்கணும் உண்டாகும்; சமுத்திரமும் அலைகளும் முழக்கமாயிருக்கும்.

அல்லாமலும் உயர வானத்திலே அற்புதங்களையும், தாழ பூமியிலே இரத்தம், அக்கினி, புகைக்காடாகிய அதிசயங்களையும் காட்டுவேன்.

சோதோம் கொமோரா பட்டணங்களின் திசையையும், சமபூமியாகிய தேசம் முழுவதையும் நோக்கிப் பார்த்தான்; அந்தப் பூமியின் புகை சூளையின் புகையைப்போல எழும்பிற்று.

ஆயியின் மனுஷர் பின்னிட்டுப் பார்த்தபோது, இதோ பட்டணத்தின் புகை ஆகாசத்தில் எழும்புகிறதைக் கண்டார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அங்கும் இங்கும் ஓடிப்போகிறதற்கு அவர்களுக்கு இடம் இல்லாமற்போயிற்று; வனாந்தரத்துக்கு ஓடின ஜனங்கள் தங்களைத் தொடர்ந்தவர்கள் முகமாய்த்திரும்பினார்கள்.

பட்டணத்திலிருந்து மகா பெரிய புகையை எழும்பப்பண்ணுவதே இஸ்ரவேலருக்கும் பதிவிடைக்காரருக்கும் குறிக்கப்பட்ட அடையாளமாயிருந்தது.

பட்டணத்திலிருந்து புகையானது ஸ்தம்பம்போல உயர எழும்பினபோது, பென்யமீனர் பின்னாகப் பார்த்தார்கள்; இதோ, பட்டணத்தின் அக்கினிஜுவாலை வானபரியந்தம் எழும்பிற்று.

வெள்ளைப்போளத்தினாலும் சாம்பிராணியினாலும் வர்த்தகருடைய சகலவித கந்தப்பொடியினாலும் உண்டாகிய வாசனையை வீசி, தூபஸ்தம்பங்களைப்போல் வனாந்தரத்திலிருந்து வருகிற இவர் யார்?

அந்நாட்களிலே, அந்த உபத்திரவத்திற்குப்பின்பு, சூரியன் அந்தகாரப்படும், சந்திரன் ஒளியைக்கொடாதிருக்கும்;

அவர் ஆறாம் முத்திரையை உடைக்கக்கண்டேன்; இதோ, பூமி மிகவும் அதிர்ந்தது; சூரியன் கறுப்புக் கம்பளியைப்போலக் கறுத்தது; சந்திரன் இரத்தம்போலாயிற்று.

அவளுடனே வேசித்தனஞ்செய்து செல்வச்செருக்காய் வாழ்ந்த பூமியின் ராஜாக்களும் அவள் வேகிறதினால் உண்டான புகையைக் காணும்போது அவளுக்காக அழுது புலம்பி,
