மேலும், நான் புதிய கற்பனையையும் உங்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறேன், இது அவருக்குள்ளும் உங்களுக்குள்ளும் மெய்யாயிருக்கிறது; ஏனென்றால், இருள் நீங்கிப்போகிறது, மெய்யான ஒளி இப்பொழுது பிரகாசிக்கிறது.

இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: வானத்திலிருந்து வந்த அப்பத்தை மோசே உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கவில்லை; என் பிதாவோ வானத்திலிருந்து வந்த மெய்யான அப்பத்தை உங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறார் என்று, மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்

அதற்கு இயேசு: நானே வழியும் சத்தியமும் ஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; என்னாலேயல்லாமல் ஒருவனும் பிதாவினிடத்தில் வரான்.

நமக்குப் பாவமில்லையென்போமானால் நம்மை நாமே வஞ்சிக்கிறவர்களாயிருப்போம், சத்தியம் நமக்குள் இராது.

உன் கண் கெட்டதாயிருந்தால், உன் சரீரம் முழுவதும் இருட்டாயிருக்கும்; இப்படி உன்னிலுள்ள வெளிச்சம் இருளாயிருந்தால், அவ்விருள் எவ்வளவு அதிகமாயிருக்கும்!
