பகையுண்டாக்கும் வார்த்தைகளால் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என்னோடே போர்செய்கிறார்கள்.

வீணாய் எனக்குச் சத்துருக்களானவர்கள் என்னிமித்தம் சந்தோஷியாமலும், முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் கண் சிமிட்டாமலும் இருப்பார்களாக.

நிமித்தமில்லாமல் என்னைப் பகைக்கிறவர்கள் என் தலைமயிரிலும் அதிகமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; வீணாக எனக்குச் சத்துருக்களாகி என்னைச் சங்கரிக்கவேண்டுமென்றிருக்கிறவர்கள் பலத்திருக்கிறார்கள்; நான் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளாததை நான் கொடுக்கவேண்டியதாயிற்று.

நீங்கள் உயர்த்தப்படும்படி நான் என்னைத்தானே தாழ்த்தி, தேவனுடைய சுவிசேஷத்தை இலவசமாய் உங்களுக்குப் பிரசங்கித்ததினாலே குற்றஞ்செய்தேனோ?

அவர்களை நோக்கி: மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திலும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் ஆகமங்களிலும் சங்கீதங்களிலும் என்னைக் குறித்து எழுதியிருக்கிறவைகளெல்லாம் நிறைவேறவேண்டியதென்று, நான் உங்களோடிருந்தபோது உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லிக்கொண்டுவந்த விசேஷங்கள் இவைகளே என்றார்.

என்னோடே சமாதானமாயிருந்தவனுக்கு நான் தீமைசெய்ததும், காரணமில்லாமல் எனக்குச் சத்துருவானவனை நான் கொள்ளையிட்டதும் உண்டானால்,

வியாதியுள்ளவர்களைச் சொஸ்தமாக்குங்கள், குஷ்டரோகிகளைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணுங்கள், மரித்தோரை எழுப்புங்கள், பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துங்கள்; இலவசமாய்ப் பெற்றீர்கள் இலவசமாய்க் கொடுங்கள்.

அவருடைய எலும்புகளில் ஒன்றும் முறிக்கப்படுவதில்லை என்கிற வேதவாக்கியம் நிறைவேறும்படி இவைகள் நடந்தது.

மேலும், வாய்கள் யாவும் அடைக்கப்படும்படிக்கும், உலகத்தார் யாவரும் தேவனுடைய ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்புக்கு ஏதுவானவர்களாகும்படிக்கும், நியாயப்பிரமாணம் சொல்லுகிறதெல்லாம் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்துக்கு உட்பட்டிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கே சொல்லுகிறதென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.

இலவசமாய் அவருடைய கிருபையினாலே கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிலுள்ள மீட்பைக்கொண்டு நீதிமான்களாக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்;

நான் தேவனுடைய கிருபையை விருதாவாக்குகிறதில்லை; நீதியானது நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினாலே வருமானால், கிறிஸ்து மரித்தது வீணாயிருக்குமே.

ஒருவனிடத்திலும் இலவசமாய்ச் சாப்பிடாமலும், உங்களில் ஒருவனுக்கும் பாரமாயிராதபடிக்கு இரவும் பகலும் பிரயாசத்தோடும் வருத்தத்தோடும் வேலைசெய்து சாப்பிட்டோம்.

அன்றியும், அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: ஆயிற்று, நான் அல்பாவும் ஓமெகாவும், ஆதியும் அந்தமுமாயிருக்கிறேன். தாகமாயிருக்கிறவனுக்கு நான் ஜீவத்தண்ணீரூற்றில் இலவசமாய்க் கொடுப்பேன்.
