ஏனெனில், பிதாவானவர் தம்மில் தாமே ஜீவனுடையவராயிருக்கிறதுபோல, குமாரனும் தம்மில்தாமே ஜீவனுடையவராயிருக்கும்படி அருள் செய்திருக்கிறார்.

உலகத்தை ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கும்படி தேவன் தம்முடைய குமாரனை உலகத்தில் அனுப்பாமல், அவராலே உலகம் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவதற்காகவே அவரை அனுப்பினார்.

கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூடச் சிலுவையிலறையப்பட்டேன்; ஆயினும், பிழைத்திருக்கிறேன்; இனி நான் அல்ல, கிறிஸ்துவே எனக்குள் பிழைத்திருக்கிறார்; நான் இப்பொழுது மாம்சத்தில் பிழைத்திருக்கிறதோ, என்னில் அன்புகூர்ந்து எனக்காகத் தம்மைத்தாமே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்த தேவனுடைய குமாரனைப்பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தினாலே பிழைத்திருக்கிறேன்.

கர்த்தரோ மெய்யான தெய்வம்; அவர் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன், நித்திய ராஜா; அவருடைய கோபத்தினால் பூமி அதிரும்; அவருடைய உக்கிரத்தை ஜாதிகள் சகிக்கமாட்டார்கள்.

சீமோன் பேதுரு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நீர் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய கிறிஸ்து என்றான்.

இயேசு அவளை நோக்கி: நானே உயிர்த்தெழுதலும் ஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் மரித்தாலும் பிழைப்பான்;

அதற்கு இயேசு: நானே வழியும் சத்தியமும் ஜீவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; என்னாலேயல்லாமல் ஒருவனும் பிதாவினிடத்தில் வரான்.

இன்னும் கொஞ்சக்காலத்திலே உலகம் என்னைக் காணாது, நீங்களோ என்னைக் காண்பீர்கள்; நான் பிழைக்கிறபடியினால் நீங்களும் பிழைப்பீர்கள்.

அவர்களெல்லாரும் ஒன்றாயிருக்கவும், பிதாவே, நீர் என்னை அனுப்பினதை உலகம் விசுவாசிக்கிறதற்காக, நீர் என்னிலேயும் நான் உம்மிலேயும் இருக்கிறதுபோல அவர்களெல்லாரும் நம்மில் ஒன்றாயிருக்கவும் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

ஆதாமுக்குள் எல்லாரும் மரிக்கிறதுபோல, கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் எல்லாரும் உயிர்ப்பிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

ஏனெனில் அவர் பலவீனத்தால் சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்டிருந்தும், தேவனுடைய வல்லமையினால் பிழைத்திருக்கிறார்; அப்படி நாங்களும் அவருக்குள் பலவீனராயிருந்தும், உங்களிடமாய் விளங்கிய தேவனுடைய வல்லமையினால் அவருடனேகூடப் பிழைத்திருப்போம்.

ஏனென்றால், நீங்கள் மரித்தீர்கள், உங்கள் ஜீவன் கிறிஸ்துவுடனே தேவனுக்குள் மறைந்திருக்கிறது.

ஏனெனில், அவர்கள்தாமே எங்களைக்குறித்து, உங்களிடத்தில் நாங்கள் அடைந்த பிரவேசம் இன்னதென்பதையும், ஜீவனுள்ள மெய்யான தேவனுக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்வதற்கு, நீங்கள் விக்கிரகங்களை விட்டு தேவனிடத்திற்கு மனந்திரும்பினதையும்,

நித்திய ஆவியினாலே தம்மைத்தாமே பழுதற்ற பலியாக தேவனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்த கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய இரத்தம் ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்வதற்கு உங்கள் மனச்சாட்சியைச் செத்தக்கிரியைகளறச் சுத்திகரிப்பது எவ்வளவு நிச்சயம்!

தம்முடைய ஒரே பேறான குமாரனாலே நாம் பிழைக்கும்படிக்கு தேவன் அவரை இவ்வுலகத்திலே அனுப்பினதினால் தேவன் நம்மேல் வைத்த அன்பு வெளிப்பட்டது.
