கர்த்தர் சமுத்திரத்தின்மேல் பெருங்காற்றை வரவிட்டார்; அதினால் கடலிலே கப்பல் உடையுமென்று நினைக்கத்தக்க பெரிய கொந்தளிப்பு உண்டாயிற்று.

ஆனால் கர்த்தர் கடலில் ஒரு பெரும் புயலை உருவாக்கினார். காற்றானது கடலைக் கொந்தளிக்கச் செய்தது. புயல் மிகவும் பலமாக வீச, படகு இரண்டு பகுதியாக உடைந்துவிடும் போலத் தோன்றியது.

ஆனால் ஆண்டவர் கடலில் கடுங்காற்று வீசும்படி செய்தார். கடலில் பெரும் கொந்தளிப்பு உண்டாயிற்று; கப்பல் உடைந்துபோகும் நிலையில் இருந்தது.
