அவர்கள் ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாருக்கும் நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவாவுக்கும் பிரபுக்களுக்கும் முன்பாகச் சேர்ந்துவந்து: எங்கள் சகோதரர் நடுவே எங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரம் கொடுக்கும்படி கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார் என்றார்கள்; ஆகையால் அவர்கள் தகப்பனுடைய சகோதரரின் நடுவே, கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கின்படி, அவர்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரம் கொடுத்தான்..

ஆசாரியனாகிய எலெயாசாரிடமும் நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவாவிடமும், எல்லாத் தலைவர்களிடமும் அப்பெண்கள் சென்று “ஆண்களைப் போலவே எங்களுக்கும் நிலத்தைத் தரும்படியாக கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார்” என்றனர். எலெயாசார் கர்த்தருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து அப்பெண்களுக்கும் கொஞ்சம் நிலம் கொடுத்தான். எனவே ஆண்களைப் போன்றே இந்த மகள்களும் நிலத்தைப் பெற்றார்கள்.

அவர்கள் குரு எலயாசரையும், நூனின் மகன் யோசுவாவையும், தலைவர்களையும் அணுகி, “எங்கள் சகோதரர்கள் நடுவில் எங்களுக்கு உடைமைகள் அளிக்க ஆண்டவர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார்” என்றனர். ஆண்டவரின் கட்டளைப்படி அவர்களுக்கு அவர்களுடைய தந்தையின் சகோதரர்களின் நடுவில் உரிமைச்சொத்து அளித்தார்.
