இந்தப் பிரகாரமாகக் கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தையெல்லாம் கொடுத்தார்; அவர்கள் அவைகளைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, அவைகளிலே குடியிருந்தார்கள்.

இவ்வாறு, ஆண்டவர் அவர்கள் மூதாதையருக்குக் கொடுப்பதாக வாக்களித்த நாடு முழுவதையும் இஸ்ரயேலுக்குக் கொடுத்தார். அவர்கள் அதனை உடைமையாக்கிக் கொண்டு அதில் வாழ்ந்தார்கள்.
