தகன பலி, தானிய காணிக்கை, சமாதான பலி ஆகியவற்றைக் கொடுப்பதற்காக நாங்கள் இந்தப் பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டியதாக நீங்கள் நினைக்கிறீர்களா? இல்லை! அதற்காக நாங்கள் இதைக் கட்டவில்லை. நாங்கள் ஏன் இந்தப் பலிபீடத்தைக் கட்டினோம்? உங்கள் தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் எதிர்காலத்தில் எங்களை இஸ்ரவேலின் ஒரே பகுதியாக ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளமாட்டார்களோ என்று எண்ணி பயந்தோம். இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நாங்கள் ஆராதிக்கக் கூடாது என்று உங்கள் ஜனங்கள் கூறுவார்கள் என நினைத்து பயந்தோம்.
