ஆயியிலும் பெத்தேலிலும் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பின்தொடராத மனுஷன் இருந்ததில்லை; பட்டணத்தைத் திறந்துவைத்துவிட்டு, இஸ்ரவேலரைத் துரத்திக்கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

இஸ்ரயேலைத் துரத்தி ஆயி, பெத்தேல் இவற்றிலிருந்து வெளியே வராதவன் எவனும் இல்லை. அனைவரும் நகரைத் திறந்துவிட்டபடியே வெளியேறி இஸ்ரயேலின் பின்னே ஓடினர்.⒫
