இந்நாள்மட்டும் இருக்கிறபடியே, அந்நாளில் அவர்களைச் சபைக்கும், கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் இடத்திலிருக்கும் அவருடைய பலிபீடத்துக்கும் விறகு வெட்டுகிறவர்களாகவும் தண்ணீர் எடுக்கிறவர்களாகவுமாக்கினான்.

இந்தநாள்வரை இருக்கிறபடியே, அந்தநாளில் அவர்களைச் சபைக்கும், கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் இடத்திலிருக்கும் அவருடைய பலிபீடத்திற்கும் விறகு வெட்டுகிறவர்களாகவும், தண்ணீர் எடுக்கிறவர்களாகவும் வைத்தான்.

கிபியோனிய ஜனங்களை இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களுக்கு அடிமைகளாக யோசுவா ஆக்கினான். அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களுக்கும் கர்த்தருடைய பலிபீடத்திற்கும் தேவையான விறகு வெட்டி, தண்ணீர் மொண்டு வந்தனர். தேவன் தெரிந்தெடுத்த இடத்தில் எல்லாம் அவர்கள் அவ்வேலைகளைச் செய்தனர். அந்த ஜனங்கள் இன்றைக்கும் அடிமைகளாக உள்ளனர்.

யோசுவா, அந்நாளில் அவர்களை மரம் வெட்டுபவர்களாகவும், சபைக்கும் ஆண்டவரின் பீடத்திற்கும் தண்ணீர் எடுப்பவர்களாகவும் நியமித்தார். அவர் அவர்களுக்குக் குறித்த இடத்தில் இன்றுவரை அவர்கள் உள்ளனர்.
