நியாயாதிபதிகள் 1:13
அப்போது காலேபுடைய தம்பியாகிய கேனாசின் குமாரன் ஒத்னியேல் அதைப் பிடித்தான்; ஆகையால் தன் குமாரத்தியாகிய அக்சாளை அவனுக்கு விவாகம் பண்ணிக்கொடுத்தான்.

அப்பொழுது காலேபுடைய தம்பியாகிய கேனாசின் மகன் ஒத்னியேல் அதைப் பிடித்தான்; எனவே, தன்னுடைய மகளாகிய அக்சாளை அவனுக்குத் திருமணம் செய்துகொடுத்தான்.

காலேபுக்குக் கேனாஸ் என்னும் பெயருடைய இளைய சகோதரன் ஒருவன் இருந்தான் அவனுக்கு ஒத்னியேல் என்னும் பெயருடைய மகன் இருந்தான். கீரியாத் செப்பேர் என்னும் நகரை ஒத்னியேல் கைப்பற்றினான். எனவே ஒத்னியேலுக்கு மனைவியாகும்படி காலேப் தன் மகள் அக்சாளைக் கொடுத்தான்.

காலேபின் இளைய சகோதரனும், கெனாசின் மகனுமாகிய ஒத்னியேல் அதைக் கைப்பற்றினார். எனவே, காலேபு அவருக்குத் தம்மகள் அக்சாவை மனைவியாக அளித்தார்.
