திரும்ப வந்து, தன் தாயையும் தகப்பனையும் நோக்கி: திம்னாத்திலே பெலிஸ்தரின் குமாரத்திகளில் ஒரு பெண்ணைக் கண்டேன்; அவளை எனக்குக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்றான்.

அவன் வீட்டிற்குத் திரும்பியதும் தன் தந்தையையும், தாயையும் நோக்கி, “ஒரு பெலிஸ்திய பெண்ணைத் திம்னாவில் நான் பார்த்தேன், அவளை நீங்கள் எனக்காக அழைத்து வரவேண்டும். நான் அவளைத் திருமணம் செய்துகொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்” என்றான்.

அவர் திரும்பிச் சென்று தம் தந்தையிடமும் தாயிடமும், “நான் திமினாவில் ஒரு பெண்ணைக் கண்டேன். அவள் பெலிஸ்திய மகளிருள் ஒருத்தி, இப்பொழுது அவளை எனக்கு மணமுடித்து வையுங்கள்” என்றார்.
