நியாயாதிபதிகள் 2:21
யோசுவா மரித்துப் பின்வைத்துப்போன ஜாதிகளில் ஒருவரையும், நான் இனி அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்தி விடாதிருப்பேன்.

யோசுவா இறந்தபின்பு விட்டுப்போன தேசங்களில் ஒருவரையும், நான் இனி அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடாதிருப்பேன்.

எனவே இனிமேல் நான் பிறரைத் தோற்கடித்து இஸ்ரவேலருக்கு வழியைச் சரிப்படுத்திக் கொடுக்கமாட்டேன். யோசுவா மரித்த போது அந்நிய ஜனங்கள் இந்த தேசத்திலேயே இருந்தனர். மேலும் அவர்களை இந்த தேசத்திலேயே இருக்கவிடுவேன்.

ஆகவே, நானும் யோசுவா இறக்கும்பொழுதுவிட்டு வைத்த வேற்றினத்தாரை இவர்கள் முன்னிருந்து இனியும் விரட்டமாட்டேன்.
