அப்பொழுது அதைக் கண்டவர்களெல்லாரும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நாள் முதற்கொண்டு இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இதைப்போலொத்தகாரியம் செய்யப்படவும் இல்லை, காணப்படவும் இல்லை; இந்தக் காரியத்தை யோசித்து ஆலோசனைபண்ணி செய்யவேண்டியது இன்னதென்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்றார்கள்.

இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் என் வாக்கை உள்ளபடி கேட்டு, என் உடன்படிக்கையைக் கைக்கொள்வீர்களானால், சகல ஜனங்களிலும் நீங்களே எனக்குச் சொந்த சம்பத்தாயிருப்பீர்கள்; பூமியெல்லாம் என்னுடையது.

ஆகையால் அவைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு நடவுங்கள்; ஜனங்களின் கண்களுக்குமுன்பாகவும் இதுவே உங்களுக்கு ஞானமும் விவேகமுமாய் இருக்கும்; அவர்கள் இந்தக் கட்டளைகளையெல்லாம் கேட்டு, இந்தப் பெரிய ஜாதியே ஞானமும் விவேகமுமுள்ள ஜனங்கள் என்பார்கள்.

நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பிள்ளைகள்; செத்தவனுக்காகக் கீறிக் கொள்ளாமலும், உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு இடையிலே சவரம்பண்ணாமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக.

அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேலர்: கர்த்தருடைய வாக்கைக் கேளாமல் அவர்களுடைய போஜனபதார்த்தத்தில் சிறிது வாங்கிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

ஆலோசனையினால் எண்ணங்கள் ஸ்திரப்படும்; நல்யோசனை செய்து யுத்தம்பண்ணு.

உங்களுக்குள்ளே விபசாரம் உண்டென்று பிரசித்தமாய்ச் சொல்லப்படுகிறதே, ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனுடைய மனைவியை வைத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறானே; அது அஞ்ஞானிகளுக்குள்ளும் சொல்லப்படாத விபசாரமாயிருக்கிறதே.

நீங்கள் மேன்மை பாராட்டுகிறது நல்லதல்ல; கொஞ்சம் புளித்தமா பிசைந்தமா முழுவதையும் புளிப்பாக்குமென்று அறியீர்களா?

ஆனாலும், இவ்வுலகத்திலுள்ள விபசாரக்காரர், பொருளாசைக்காரர், கொள்ளைக்காரர், விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரர் இவர்களோடு எவ்வளவும் கலந்திருக்கக்கூடாதென்று நான் எழுதவில்லை; அப்படியானால் நீங்கள் உலகத்தைவிட்டு நீங்கிப்போகவேண்டியதாயிருக்குமே.

உங்களில் ஒருவன் ஞானத்தில் குறைவுள்ளவனாயிருந்தால், யாவருக்கும் சம்பூரணமாய்க் கொடுக்கிறவரும் ஒருவரையும் கடிந்துகொள்ளாதவருமாகிய தேவனிடத்தில் கேட்கக்கடவன், அப்பொழுது அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.
