தன் மூத்தகுமாரனாகிய யெத்தேரை நோக்கி: நீ எழுந்து, இவர்களை வெட்டிப்போடு என்றான்; அந்த வாலிபன் இளைஞனானபடியால் பயந்து தன் பட்டயத்தை உருவாதிருந்தான்.

தன்னுடைய மூத்தமகனான யெத்தேரை நோக்கி: நீ எழுந்து, இவர்களை வெட்டிப்போடு என்றான்; அந்த வாலிபன் தான் இளைஞனானபடியால் பயந்து தன்னுடைய பட்டயத்தை உருவாமல் இருந்தான்.

பின்பு கிதியோன் யெத்தேரை ஏறிட்டுப் பார்த்தான். யெத்தேர் கிதியோனின் மூத்த மகன். கிதியோன் அவனை நோக்கி, “இந்த அரசர்களைக் கொன்றுவிடு” என்றான். ஆனால் யெத்தேர் பயம் நிறைந்த ஒரு பையனாக இருந்தான். எனவே அவன் தன் வாளை உருவவில்லை.

அவர் தம் தலைமகன் எத்தேரிடம், “எழு! அவர்களைக் கொல்” என்றார். இளைஞன் தன் வாளை உருவவில்லை. ஏனெனில், அவன் இன்னும் சிறுவனாக இருந்ததால் அஞ்சினான்.
