உம்முடைய கோபம் என்னை இருத்துகிறது; உம்முடைய அலைகளெல்லாவற்றினாலும் என்னை வருத்தப்படுத்துகிறீர். (சேலா.)

என் சிநேகிதரே, எனக்கு இரங்குங்கள், எனக்கு இரங்குங்கள்; தேவனுடைய கை என்னைத் தொட்டது.

சிறுவயதுமுதல் நான் சிறுமைப்பட்டவனும் மாண்டுபோகிறவனுமாயிருக்கிறேன்; உம்மால் வரும் திகில்கள் என்மேல் சுமந்திருக்கிறது, நான் மனங்கலங்குகிறேன்.

அநேக இக்கட்டுகளையும் ஆபத்துகளையும் காணும்படி செய்த என்னை நீர் திரும்பவும் உயிர்ப்பித்து, திரும்பவும் என்னைப் பூமியின் பாதாளங்களிலிருந்து ஏறப்பண்ணுவீர்.

அவர் அசட்டைபண்ணப்பட்டவரும், துக்கம் நிறைந்தவரும், பாடு அநுபவித்தவருமாயிருந்தார்; அவரைவிட்டு, நம்முடைய முகங்களை மறைத்துக் கொண்டோம்; அவர் அசட்டைபண்ணப்பட்டிருந்தார்; அவரை எண்ணாமற்போனோம்.

நான் பரியாசக்காரருடைய கூட்டத்தில் உட்கார்ந்து களிகூர்ந்ததில்லை; உமது கரத்தினிமித்தம் தனித்து உட்கார்ந்தேன்; சலிப்பினால் என்னை நிரப்பினீர்.

நான் பிறந்தநாள் சபிக்கப்படுவதாக; என் தாயார் என்னைப் பெற்ற நாள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படாதிருப்பதாக.

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் எரேமியாவைப் பிடித்து, அவனைக் காவற்சாலையின் முற்றத்திலிருந்த அம்மெலேகின் குமாரனாகிய மல்கியாவினுடைய துரவிலே போட்டார்கள்; எரேமியாவைக் கயிறுகளினால் அதிலே இறக்கிவிட்டார்கள்; அந்தத் துரவிலே தண்ணீர் இல்லாமல் உளையாயிருந்தது, அந்த உளையிலே எரேமியா அமிழ்ந்தினான்.

வழியில் நடந்துபோகிற சகல ஜனங்களே, இதைக்குறித்து உங்களுக்குக் கவையில்லையா? கர்த்தர் தமது உக்கிரமான கோபமூண்ட நாளிலே என்னைச் சஞ்சலப்படுத்தினதினால் எனக்கு உண்டான என் துக்கத்துக்குச் சரியான துக்கம் உண்டோ என்று என்னை நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்.
