தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் கள்ளத்தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்; ஆசாரியர்கள் அவர்கள் மூலமாய் ஆளுகிறார்கள்; இப்படியிருப்பது என் ஜனத்துக்குப் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறது; ஆனாலும் முடிவிலே என்னசெய்வீர்கள்?

அவர்களில், சிறியோர்முதல் பெரியோர்மட்டும், ஒவ்வொருவரும் பொருளாசைக்காரர்; இதுவுமல்லாமல் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள்முதல் ஆசாரியர்கள்மட்டும் ஒவ்வொருவரும் பொய்யர்.

அதின் ஆசாரியர்கள் என் வேதத்துக்கு அநியாயஞ்செய்து, என் பரிசுத்தவஸ்துக்களைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்குகிறார்கள்; பரிசுத்தமுள்ளதற்கும் பரிசுத்தமில்லாததற்கும் வித்தியாசம்பண்ணாமலும், அசுத்தமுள்ளதற்கும் அசுத்தமில்லாததற்கும் உண்டான வேற்றுமையைக் காண்பியாமலும் இருந்து, என் ஓய்வுநாட்களுக்குத் தங்கள் கண்களை மூடிக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் நடுவிலே நான் கனஈனம்பண்ணப்படுகிறேன்.

ஆகையால், தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக் கொலை செய்தவர்களுக்குப் புத்திரராயிருக்கிறீர்கள் என்று உங்களைக்குறித்து நீங்களே சாட்சிகளாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

பூர்வகாலந்துவக்கி நான் உன் நுகத்தடியை முறித்து, உன் கட்டுகளை அறுத்தேன்; நான் அடிமைப்படுவதில்லை என்று நீயும் சொன்னாயே; ஆகிலும், உயரமான சகல மேட்டின்மேலும், பச்சையான சகலமரத்தின்கீழும் நீ வேசியாய்த் திரிகிறாய்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் என் நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு பொய்யாய்த் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ் சொல்லுகிறார்கள். நான் அவர்களை அனுப்பினதுமில்லை, அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பித்ததுமில்லை; அவர்களோடே பேசினதுமில்லை; அவர்கள் கள்ளத் தரிசனத்தையும், கள்ள சகுனத்தையும், இல்லாத விசேஷத்தையும், தங்கள் இருதயத்தின் கபடத்தையுமே, உங்களுக்குத் தீர்க்கதரிசனமாய்ச் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.

தீர்க்கதரிசியும் ஆசாரியனும் மாயக்காரராயிருக்கிறார்கள், என் ஆலயத்திலும் அவர்களுடைய பொல்லாப்பைக் கண்டேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

அதின் தலைவர்கள் பரிதானத்துக்கு நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறார்கள்; அதின் ஆசாரியர்கள் கூலிக்கு உபதேசிக்கிறார்கள்; அதின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் பணத்துக்குக் குறிசொல்லுகிறார்கள்; ஆகிலும் அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை சார்ந்துகொண்டு: கர்த்தர் எங்கள் நடுவில் இல்லையோ? தீங்கு எங்கள்மேல் வராது என்கிறார்கள்.

அதற்குள்ளே இருக்கிற அதின் அதிபதிகள் கெர்ச்சிக்கிற சிங்கங்கள்; அதின் நியாயாதிபதிகள் சாயங்காலத்தில் புறப்படுகிறதும் விடியற்காலமட்டும் ஒரு எலும்பையும் மீதியாக வைக்காததுமான ஓநாய்கள்.

சர்ப்பங்களே, விரியன்பாம்புக்குட்டிகளே! நரகாக்கினைக்கு எப்படித் தப்பித்துக்கொள்வீர்கள்?

உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ, உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் கொலைசெய்த தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்குக் கல்லறைகளைக் கட்டுகிறீர்கள்.

தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் யாரை உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் துன்பப்படுத்தாமலிருந்தார்கள்? நீதிபரருடைய வருகையை முன்னறிவித்தவர்களையும் அவர்கள் கொலைசெய்தார்கள். இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் அவருக்குத் துரோகிகளும், அவரைக் கொலைசெய்த பாதகருமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

அந்த யூதர்கள் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவையும், தங்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும் கொலைசெய்தவர்களும், எங்களைத் துன்பப்படுத்தினவர்களும், தேவனுக்கேற்காதவர்களும், மனுஷர் யாவருக்கும் விரோதிகளுமாயிருந்து,
