உன் பையிலே பெரிதும் சிறிதுமான பலவித நிறைகற்களை வைத்திருக்கவேண்டாம்.

உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தில் உன் நாட்கள் நீடித்திருக்கும்படி, குறையற்ற சுமுத்திரையான நிறைகல்லும், குறையற்ற சுமுத்திரையான படியும் உன்னிடத்திலிருக்கவேண்டும்.

நியாயவிசாரணையில் அநியாயம் செய்யாதிருங்கள்; சிறியவனுக்கு முகதாட்சிணியம் செய்யாமலும், பெரியவனுடைய முகத்துக்கு அஞ்சாமலும், நீதியாகப் பிறனுக்கு நியாயந்தீர்ப்பாயாக.

கள்ளத்தராசு கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானது; சுமுத்திரையான நிறைகல்லோ அவருக்குப் பிரியம்.

சுமுத்திரையான நிறைகோலும் தராசும் கர்த்தருடையது; பையிலிருக்கும் நிறைகல்லெல்லாம் அவருடைய செயல்.

வெவ்வேறான நிறைகல்லும், வெவ்வேறான மரக்காலும் ஆகிய இவ்விரண்டும் கர்த்தருக்கு அருவருப்பானவைகள்.

இரத்தந்சிந்தும்படிக்குப் பரிதானம்வாங்கினவர்கள் உன்னில் இருக்கிறார்கள்; நீ வட்டியையும் பொலிசையையும் வாங்கி, பொருளாசையினால் உன் அயலானுக்கு இடுக்கண் செய்து, என்னை மறந்து போனாய் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

நாங்கள் மரக்காலைக் குறைத்து, சேக்கல் நிறையை அதிகமாக்கி, கள்ளத்தராசினால் வஞ்சித்து, தரித்திரரைப் பணத்துக்கும், எளியவர்களை ஒருஜோடு பாதரட்சைக்கும் கொள்ளும்படிக்கும், தானியத்தின் பதரை விற்கும்படிக்கும்,

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறதைக் கேளுங்கள்; நீ எழுந்து, பர்வதங்களுக்கு முன் உன் வழக்கைச் சொல்; மலைகள் உன் சத்தத்தக் கேட்கக்கடவது.

ஏனெனில், நீங்கள் மற்றவர்களைத் தீர்க்கிற தீர்ப்பின்படியே நீங்களும் தீர்க்கப்படுவீர்கள்; நீங்கள் மற்றவர்களுக்கு அளக்கிற அளவின்படியே உங்களுக்கும் அளக்கப்படும்.
