அவர்களுடைய தேவனாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, நான் புறஜாதிகளின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து அவர்களைப் புறப்படச்செய்து, அவர்களுடைய முன்னோர்களோடே நான் பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையை அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் நினைவுகூருவேன்; நான் கர்த்தர் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

அவர்களுடைய தேவனாக இருக்கும்படிக்கு, நான் அன்னிய மக்களின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து அவர்களைப் புறப்படச்செய்து, அவர்களுடைய முன்னோர்களுடன் நான் செய்த உடன்படிக்கையை அவர்களுக்காக நினைவுகூருவேன்; நான் கர்த்தர் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

அவர்களுக்காக, நான் அவர்களின் முற்பிதாக்களோடு செய்த உடன்படிக்கையை நினைவுபடுத்திக்கொள்வேன். நான் அவர்களின் முற்பிதாக்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து மீட்டுக்கொண்டு வந்து, அவர்களின் தேவன் ஆனேன். மற்ற நாடுகளும் இதனைக் கவனித்தன. நான் கர்த்தர்!” என்று கூறினார்.

நான் அவர்களுடைய கடவுளாகிய வேற்றினத்தார் கண்முன்னே எகிப்திலிருந்து அவர்களின் மூதாதையரை அழைத்து வந்து அவர்களோடு செய்துகொண்ட உடன்படிக்கையை அவர்களுக்காக நினைவுகூர்வேன், நானே ஆண்டவர்”.
