அது நல்லதோ இளப்பமானதோ என்று அவன் பார்க்கவேண்டாம்; மாற்றினால், அதுவும் அதற்குப் பதிலாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டதுமாகிய இரண்டும் பரிசுத்தமாகும்; அது மீட்கப்படக் கூடாதென்று அவர்களோடே சொல் என்றார்.

கர்த்தருக்குத் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்படும் மிருகங்கள் நல்லவையா, கெட்டவையா என்பதைப்பற்றி கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம். அதற்காக அவன் வேறு மிருகங்களை மாற்றிக்கொள்ள வேண்டாம். அவன் அவ்வாறு மாற்றிக்கொள்ள விரும்பினால் இரண்டு மிருகங்களுமே கர்த்தருக்கு உரியதாகும். இவற்றைத் திரும்ப வாங்கிக்கொள்ள முடியாது” என்று கூறினார்.

எது உயர்ந்தது, எது தாழ்ந்தது எனப் பார்க்க வேண்டாம். அதை மாற்றவும் வேண்டாம்; மாற்றினால் அவை இரண்டும் ஆண்டவருக்கெனப் பிரித்து வைக்கப்பட வேண்டும். அவை மீட்கப்படலாகா.
