ஆரோன் காலைதோறும் அதின்மேல் சுகந்த தூபங்காட்டவேண்டும்; மாலையில் விளக்கேற்றும்போதும் அதின்மேல் தூபங்காட்டக்கடவன்; விளக்குகளை விளக்கும்போதும் அதின்மேல் தூபங்காட்டவேண்டும்.

அம்ராமின் குமாரர், ஆரோன், மோசே என்பவர்கள்; ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் பரிசுத்தத்திற்குப் பரிசுத்தமான ஸ்தலத்தை என்றைக்கும் பரிசுத்தமாய்க் காக்கிறதற்கும், என்றைக்கும் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக தூபங்காட்டுகிறதற்கும், அவருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்கிறதற்கும், அவர் நாமத்திலே ஆசீர்வாதம் கொடுக்கிறதற்கும் பிரித்துவைக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

தூபபீடத்தையும் சீத்திம் மரத்தினால் உண்டாக்கினான்; அது ஒரு முழ நீளமும் ஒரு முழ அகலமுமான சதுரமும் இரண்டு முழ உயரமுமாய் இருந்தது; அதின் கொம்புகள் அதனோடே ஏகவேலைப்பாடாயிருந்தது.

ஆரோனின் புத்திரராய் இராத அந்நியன் ஒருவனும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் தூபங்காட்ட வராதபடிக்கும், கோராகைப்போலும் அவன் கூட்டத்தாரைப்போலும் இராதபடிக்கும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கு ஞாபகக்குறியாயிருக்கும்பொருட்டு, கர்த்தர் மோசேயைக்கொண்டு தனக்குச் சொன்னபடியே அவைகளைப் பலிபீடத்தை மூடும் தகடுகளாக அடிப்பித்தான்.

ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிபீடத்தின்மேல் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டும் பீடத்தின்மேல் தூபங்காட்டி, மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் எல்லாவேலைக்கும், தேவனுடைய தாசனாகிய மோசே கற்பித்தபடியெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தியுண்டாக்குகிறதற்கும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தார்கள்.

அவன் பலப்பட்டபோது, தனக்குக்கேடுண்டாகுமட்டும், அவனுடைய மனம்மேட்டிமையாகி, தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாக மீறுதல் செய்து தூபபீடத்தின்மேல் தூபங்காட்ட கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்குள் பிரவேசித்தான்.
