உதயமானபோது, அவர் புறப்பட்டு, வனாந்தரமான ஓரிடத்திற்குப் போனார். திரளான ஜனங்கள் அவரைத்தேடி, அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, தங்களை விட்டுப் போகாதபடிக்கு அவரை நிறுத்திக்கொண்டார்கள்.

தான் தனித்திருக்கும் பொருட்டு மறு நாள் இயேசு ஓர் இடத்திற்குச் சென்றார். மக்கள் இயேசுவின் வருகைக்காகப் பார்த்திருந்தார்கள். கடைசியில் அவர் இருந்த இடத்தைக் கண்டார்கள். மக்கள் இயேசுவைக் கண்டபோது அவர் போகாமல் இருக்கும்படியாகத் தடுக்க முற்பட்டனர்.

பொழுது விடியும் வேளையில் இயேசு தனிமையான ஓர் இடத்திற்குப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார். திரளான மக்கள் அவரைத் தேடிச் சென்றனர்; அவரிடம் வந்து சேர்ந்ததும் தங்களைவிட்டுப் போகாதவாறு அவரைத் தடுத்து நிறுத்தப் பார்த்தனர்.
