அவர்கள், பேச்சிலே அவரை அகப்படுத்தும்படிக்கு, பரிசேயரிலும் எரோதியரிலும் சிலரை அவரிடத்தில் அனுப்பினார்கள்.

பிறகு யூதத்தலைவர்கள், சில பரிசேயர்களையும், ஏரோதியர்கள் என்னும் குழுவில் இருந்து சிலரையும் இயேசுவிடம் அனுப்பி வைத்தார்கள். ஏதாவது இயேசு தவறாகப் பேசினால் அவரைப் பிடிக்க வேண்டும் என்று விரும்பினர்.
