அது அவன் இருதயத்தில் போகாமல் வயிற்றிலே போகிறது; அதிலிருந்து எல்லாப் போஜனங்களின் அசுத்தங்களையும் கழிக்கிற ஆசனவழியாய் நீங்கிப்போகும்.

உணவானது மனிதனின் மூளைக்குள் செல்வதில்லை. உணவு வயிற்றுக்குள் தான் செல்லும். பிறகு அந்த உணவு உடம்பைவிட்டு வெளியேறிவிடும்” என்றார் இயேசு. (இயேசு இதனைக் கூறும்போது, அவர் மக்கள் உண்ணும் எந்த உணவும் அவர்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தாது என்று உணர்த்தினார்.)
