அவரோடேகூட நாங்கள் பரிசுத்த பருவதத்திலிருக்கையில், வானத்திலிருந்து பிறந்த அந்தச் சத்தத்தைக்கேட்டோம்.

அன்றியும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து அக்கினி புறப்பட்டு, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் இருந்த சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் கொழுப்பையும் எரித்துவிட்டது; ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அதைக் கண்டபோது ஆரவாரித்து முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்.

அக்கினிஜுவாலை பலிபீடத்திலிருந்து வானத்திற்கு நேராக எழும்பு கையில், கர்த்தருடைய தூதனானவர் பலிபீடத்தின் ஜுவாலையிலே ஏறிப்போனார்; அதை மனோவாவும் அவன் மனைவியும் கண்டு, தரையிலே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்.

தன் மனைவியைப் பார்த்து: நாம் தேவனைக் கண்டோம், சாகவே சாவோம் என்றான்.

தாவீது தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து, பூமிக்கும் வானத்திற்கும் நடுவே நிற்கிற கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் உருவின பட்டயத்தைத் தன் கையில் பிடித்து, அதை எருசலேமின்மேல் நீட்டியிருக்கக் கண்டான்; அப்பொழுது தாவீதும் மூப்பர்களும் இரட்டுப் போர்த்துக்கொண்டு முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்.

அப்படியே நான் எழுந்திருந்து, பள்ளத்தாக்குக்குப் புறப்பட்டுப் போனேன்; இதோ, கேபார் நதியண்டையிலே நான் கண்ட மகிமை விளங்கினது; அப்பொழுது நான் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தேன்.

நான் கண்ட இந்தத் தரிசனம், நகரத்தை அழிக்கவந்தபோது கண்ட தரிசனம்போல இருந்தது; இந்த தரிசனங்கள் கேபார் நதியண்டையிலே நான் கண்டிருந்த தரிசனத்தைப்போலும் இருந்தது; நான் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தேன்.

அப்பொழுது அவன் நான் நின்ற இடத்துக்கு வந்தான்; அவன் வருகையில் நான் திடுக்கிட்டு முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தேன்; அவன் என்னை நோக்கி: மனுபுத்திரனே கவனி; இந்தத் தரிசனம் முடிவுகாலத்துக்கு அடுத்தது என்றான்.

தானியேலாகிய நான் மாத்திரம் அந்தத் தரிசனத்தைக் கண்டேன்; என்னோடே இருந்த மனுஷர் அந்தத்தரிசனத்தைக் காணவில்லை; அவர்கள் மிகவும் நடுநடுங்கி ஓடி ஒளித்துக்கொண்டார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது மனுபுத்திரரின் சாயலாகிய ஒருவன் என் உதடுகளைத்தொட்டான்; உடனே நான் என் வாயைத் திறந்து பேசி, எனக்கு எதிரே நின்றவனை நோக்கி: என் ஆண்டவனே, தரிசனத்தினால் என் மூட்டுகள் புரண்டன, பெலனற்றுப்போனேன்.

நான் தரையிலே விழுந்தேன். அப்பொழுது: சவுலே, சவுலே, நீ என்னை ஏன் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறாய் என்று என்னுடனே சொல்லுகிற ஒரு சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டேன்.

நாங்களெல்லாரும் தரையிலே விழுந்தபோது: சவுலே, சவுலே, நீ ஏன் என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறாய்? முள்ளில் உதைக்கிறது உனக்குக் கடினமாமென்று எபிரெயு பாஷையிலே என்னுடனே சொல்லுகிற ஒரு சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டேன்.
