அவர் செய்த அதிசயங்களையும், தாவீதின் குமாரனுக்கு ஓசன்னா! என்று தேவாலயத்திலே ஆர்ப்பரிக்கிற பிள்ளைகளையும், பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும் கண்டு, கோபமடைந்து,

தலைமை ஆசாரியர்களும் வேதபாரகர்களும் இயேசுவின் செயலைக் கண்டார்கள். இயேசு பெரும் செயல்களைச் செய்வதையும் பிள்ளைகள் அவரைப் புகழ்வதையும் கண்டார்கள். சிறுபிள்ளைகள் எல்லாரும் “தாவீதின் குமாரனுக்கு ஓசன்னா” என்று சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். இவை அனைத்தும் ஆசாரியர்களையும் வேதபாரகர்களையும் கோபம்கொள்ளச் செய்தன.
