அன்றியும் தங்கள்மேல் நான் ராஜாவாகிறதற்கு மனதில்லாதிருந்தவர்களாகிய என்னுடைய சத்துருக்களை இங்கே கொண்டுவந்து, எனக்கு முன்பாக வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள் என்று சொன்னான் என்றார்

கிழவன் என்று முகம்பாராமலும், வாலிபன் என்று இரங்காமலும் இருக்கும் கொடிய முகமுள்ளதும்,

என் கோபத்தின் கோலாகிய அசீரியனுக்கு ஐயோ! அவன் கையிலிருக்கிறது என் சினத்தின் தண்டாயுதம்.

உயர்ந்த பர்வதத்தின்மேல் கொடியேற்றுங்கள்; உரத்த சத்தமிட்டு ஜனங்களை வரவழையுங்கள்; அவர்கள் பிரபுக்களின் வாசல்களுக்குள் பிரவேசிப்பதற்குச் சைகை காட்டுங்கள்.

நீ எனக்கு தண்டாயுதமும் அஸ்திராயுதமுமானவன்; நான் உன்னைக்கொண்டு ஜாதிகளை நொறுக்குவேன்; உன்னைக்கொண்டு ராஜ்யங்களை அழிப்பேன்.

அந்த அறுபத்திரண்டு வாரங்களுக்குப் பின்பு மேசியா சங்கரிக்கப்படுவார்; ஆனாலும் தமக்காக அல்ல; நகரத்தையும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தையும் வரப்போகிற பிரபுவின் ஜனங்கள் அழித்துப்போடுவார்கள்; அதின்முடிவு ஜலப்பிரவாகம்போல இருக்கும்; முடிவுபரியந்தம் யுத்தமும் நாசமும் உண்டாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டது.

கர்த்தர் தமது சேனைக்குமுன் சத்தமிடுவார்; அவருடைய பாளயம் மகா பெரிது, அவருடைய வார்த்தையின்படி செய்கிறதற்கு வல்லமையுள்ளது; கர்த்தருடைய நாள் பெரிதும் மகா பயங்கரமுமாயிருக்கும், அதைச் சகிக்கிறவன் யார்?

நான் உங்களிடத்தில் அனுப்பின என் பெரிய சேனையாகிய வெட்டுக்கிளிகளும், பச்சைக்கிளிகளும், முசுக்கட்டைப் பூச்சிகளும், பச்சைப் புழுக்களும் பட்சித்த வருஷங்களின் விளைவை உங்களுக்குத் திரும்ப அளிப்பேன்.

நான் சகல ஜாதியாரையும் கூட்டி யோசபாத்தின் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே அவர்களை இறங்கிப்போகப்பண்ணி, அவர்கள் என் ஜனத்தையும் இஸ்ரவேலென்னும் என் சுதந்தரத்தையும் புறஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே சிதறடித்து என் தேசத்தைப் பங்கிட்டுக்கொண்டதினிமித்தமும்,

இதோ, கர்த்தருடைய நாள் வருகிறது, உன்னில் கொள்ளையானது உன் நடுவிலே பங்கிடப்படும்.

அப்படியிருக்க, திராட்சத்தோட்டத்தின் எஜமான் வரும்போது, அந்த தோட்டக்காரரை என்ன செய்வான் என்று கேட்டார்.

உனக்குக் கிடைத்த இந்த நாளிலாகிலும் உன் சமாதானத்துக்கு ஏற்றவைகளை நீ அறிந்திருந்தாயானால் நலமாயிருக்கும், இப்பொழுதோ அவைகள் உன் கண்களுக்கு மறைவாயிருக்கிறது.

அப்பொழுது யூதேயாவிலிருக்கிறவர்கள் மலைகளுக்கு ஓடிப்போகவும், எருசலேமிலிருக்கிறவர்கள் வெளியே புறப்படவும், நாட்டுப்புறங்களிலிருக்கிறவர்கள் நகரத்தில் பிரவேசியாமலிருக்கவும் கடவர்கள்.

பட்டயக்கருக்கினாலே விழுவார்கள், சகல புறஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளும் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள்; புறஜாதியாரின் காலம் நிறைவேறும் வரைக்கும் எருசலேம் புறஜாதியாரால் மிதிக்கப்படும்.

புறஜாதியார் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவதற்கு நாங்கள் அவர்களோடே பேசாதபடிக்குத் தடைபண்ணுகிறார்கள்; இவ்விதமாய் எக்காலத்திலும் தங்கள் பாவங்களை நிறைவாக்குகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள்மேல் கோபாக்கினை பூரணமாய் வந்திருக்கிறது.

நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு தேவனுடைய வீட்டிலே துவக்குங்காலமாயிருக்கிறது; முந்தி நம்மிடத்திலே அது துவக்கினால் தேவனுடைய சுவிசேஷத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களின் முடிவு என்னமாயிருக்கும்?
