ஜனத்துக்கு விரோதமாய் ஜனமும், ராஜ்யத்துக்கு விரோதமாய் ராஜ்யமும் எழும்பும்; பஞ்சங்களும், கொள்ளைநோய்களும், பூமியதிர்ச்சிகளும் பல இடங்களில் உண்டாகும்.

இணை வசனம்

ஜாதியை ஜாதியும், பட்டணத்தைப் பட்டணமும் நொறுக்கினது; தேவன் அவர்களைச் சகலவித இடுக்கத்தினாலும் கலங்கப்பண்ணினார்.

சகோதரனோடே சகோதரனும், சிநேகிதனோடே சிநேகிதனும், பட்டணத்தோடே பட்டணமும் ராஜ்யத்தோடே ராஜ்யமும் யுத்தம்பண்ணும்படியாய், எகிப்தியரை எகிப்தியரோடே போர் கலக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.

வானத்திலும் பூமியிலும் இரத்தம் அக்கினி புகைஸ்தம்பங்களாகிய அதிசயங்களைக் காட்டுவேன்.

அவர்களில் ஒருவனாகிய அகபு என்பவன் எழுந்து, உலகமெங்கும் கொடியபஞ்சம் உண்டாகும் என்று ஆவியானவராலே அறிவித்தான்; அது அப்படியே கிலவுதியு ராயனுடைய நாட்களிலே உண்டாயிற்று.

பல இடங்களில் மகா பூமியதிர்ச்சிகளும், பஞ்சங்களும், கொள்ளை நோய்களும் உண்டாகும்; வானத்திலிருந்து பயங்கரமான தோற்றங்களும் பெரிய அடையாளங்களும் உண்டாகும்.

அந்நாளிலே கர்த்தரால் பெரிய கலக்கம் அவர்களுக்குள் உண்டாகும்; அவனவன் தன் தன் அயலானின் கையைப் பிடிப்பான்; அவனவனுடைய கை அவனவன் அயலானுடைய கைக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பும்.

சூரியனிலும் சந்திரனிலும் நட்சத்திரங்களிலும் அடையாளங்கள் தோன்றும்; பூமியின்மேலுள்ள ஜனங்களுக்குத் தத்தளிப்பும் இடுக்கணும் உண்டாகும்; சமுத்திரமும் அலைகளும் முழக்கமாயிருக்கும்.

இன்னும் ஒருதரம் என்கிற சொல்லானது அசையாதவைகள் நிலைத்திருக்கத்தக்கதாக, அசைவுள்ளவைகள் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டவைகள்போல் மாறிப்போம் என்பதைக் குறிக்கிறது.

நான் பார்த்தபோது, இதோ, மங்கினநிறமுள்ள ஒரு குதிரையைக் கண்டேன்; அதின்மேல் ஏறியிருந்தவனுக்கு மரணம் என்று பெயர்; பாதாளம் அவன்பின் சென்றது. பட்டயத்தினாலும், பஞ்சத்தினாலும், சாவினாலும், பூமியின் துஷ்டமிருகங்களினாலும், பூமியின் காற்பங்கிலுள்ளவர்களைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படியான அதிகாரம் அவைகளுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

ஆகையால், கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்; நான் மனுஷரையும் மிருகங்களையும் நாசம்பண்ணும்படி எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாகப் பட்டயம், பஞ்சம், துஷ்டமிருகங்கள், கொள்ளைநோய் என்னும் இந்நான்கு கொடிய தண்டனைகளையும் அனுப்பும்போது எவ்வளவு அதிக சங்காரமாகும்?

அதைக் கவிழ்ப்பேன், கவிழ்ப்பேன், கவிழ்ப்பேன்; உரிமைக்காரனானவர் வருமட்டும் அது இல்லாதிருக்கும்; அவருக்கே அதைக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

நீ யூதாவின் தலைவனாகிய செருபாபேலோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால், நான் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் அசையப்பண்ணி,

எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாக யுத்தம்பண்ணச் சகல ஜாதிகளையும் கூட்டுவேன்; நகரம் பிடிக்கப்படும்; வீடுகள் கொள்ளையாகும்; ஸ்திரீகள் அவமானப்படுவார்கள்; நகரத்தாரில் பாதி மனுஷர் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள்; மீதியான ஜனமோ நகரத்தை விட்டு அறுப்புண்டுபோவதில்லை.

அல்லாமலும் உயர வானத்திலே அற்புதங்களையும், தாழ பூமியிலே இரத்தம், அக்கினி, புகைக்காடாகிய அதிசயங்களையும் காட்டுவேன்.
